Simona is a Bachelor of Law from the University of Bucharest, Faculty of Law, also being a graduate of a Master’s Degree in European and International Law from Paris I, Panthéon-Sorbonne University, Collège Juridique Franco-Roumain d’Etudes Europèennes.

Previously joining GNP, Simona has gained experience in a national reputed law firm, being part of the data protection and environment, competition, state aid and EU law departments which are ranked as leaders in Romania.

Simona’s main areas of expertise are Data Protection and Privacy, Pharma and Health Care, but she is acquainted with the competition, and EU law areas. She is a seasoned lawyer, advising a significant number of clients acting in various fields, such as, Banking sector, IT & Telecom, Media and Entertainment, Retail and FMCG, Pharma, being involved in many projects in these areas of activity.

On data protection matters, Simona provided her clients with legal assistance in all phases, from audit and compliance with GDPR’s requirements to representation in front of the Romanian Data Protection Authority, challenging of the sanctioning decisions in front of the competent courts.

Finally, Simona has published articles in respect of the data protection area.
